Thank you for using Timestamp Camera: GPS. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app may access, how it is used, and how your data is handled.

Privacy at a glance

Camera Access

The app requires access to your device’s camera to capture photos.

Camera access is used solely for taking photos within the app. Live camera images are processed only on your device.

Location Access

The app may request permission to access your location. Location access is optional and is only used when you enable location-based timestamp features.

Location information may be used to display or stamp:

  • GPS coordinates
  • Address
  • Latitude and longitude
  • Altitude
  • Compass direction
  • Other location-related information associated with your photo

You can continue using the app without granting location permission, although location-based timestamp features will not be available.

Location information is not used for advertising, tracking, or profiling.

Address Lookup

When enabled, the app may use Apple’s location and geocoding services to convert GPS coordinates into a readable address.

These services are provided by Apple and are subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy and terms. The app does not operate its own geocoding servers.

Weather Information

If weather stamping is enabled, the app may use Apple’s WeatherKit service to retrieve current weather information for your location.

Weather information is used only to display or stamp weather details on your photos.

Photo Library

The app may request permission to access your Photo Library when you choose to:

  • Save captured photos to Apple Photos
  • Select existing photos (if supported)
  • Export or share images

Photo Library permission is requested only when needed. Your photos are never uploaded to our servers.

Photo Processing

Photos captured using Timestamp Camera: GPS are processed locally on your device.

Depending on your selected template, the app may permanently add information such as:

  • Date
  • Time
  • GPS coordinates
  • Address
  • Project name
  • Notes
  • Altitude
  • Compass direction
  • Weather

We do not receive copies of your photos. We do not use your photos for advertising, analytics, machine learning training, or profiling.

Local Storage

The app may store information locally on your device, including:

  • Captured photos
  • Thumbnails
  • Project information
  • Timestamp templates
  • App settings
  • Notes
  • Photo metadata

This information is stored only to provide the app’s functionality.

iCloud

Future versions of the app may optionally support iCloud synchronization for certain data such as settings, projects, or templates.

If this feature is introduced, it will be optional and will use your personal Apple iCloud account. The app does not currently upload full-resolution photos to its own cloud service.

Purchases & Subscriptions

Timestamp Camera: GPS offers optional premium features through Apple’s App Store. Payments are securely processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card information.

Apple may provide limited transaction information so the app can determine whether premium features are available.

Analytics

Timestamp Camera: GPS does not use third-party analytics services. We do not use:

  • Firebase Analytics
  • Google Analytics
  • Facebook SDK
  • Advertising SDKs

Apple may provide anonymous, aggregated analytics through App Store Connect, subject to Apple’s own privacy policies.

Advertising & Tracking

Timestamp Camera: GPS does not display third-party advertisements. The app does not track users across other companies’ apps or websites. The app does not use advertising identifiers for personalized advertising.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.

The app may use Apple system services such as:

  • Core Location
  • Apple Maps / Geocoding
  • WeatherKit
  • Photos
  • StoreKit

These services are provided by Apple and are governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Your Choices

You may manage app permissions at any time through the iOS Settings app. You can disable access to:

  • Camera
  • Location
  • Photos

Disabling a permission will disable the related feature.

Data Retention

Photos and related information stored by the app remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app, subject to iOS storage behavior. We do not maintain a server-side database containing your photos.

Children’s Privacy

Timestamp Camera: GPS is not intended to collect personal information from children. The app does not provide user accounts or maintain server-side user profiles.

Security

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Photos are processed locally whenever possible. However, no electronic storage method or transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised.
