• Photos access: SnapCleaner requests access to your Photos library to scan duplicates, screenshots, and large media.
• On-device processing: Scanning and grouping can be performed on your device.
• No selling of data: We do not sell your personal information.
• Payments: Subscriptions are handled by Apple In-App Purchases. We do not see your full payment details.

2) Information We Collect

A. Photos and Media Library (Permission-Based)

If you grant Photos permission, the App may access metadata and thumbnails needed to: scan for duplicate/similar photos, identify screenshots, estimate storage usage, and enable deletion actions you choose. Depending on the permission level (Full Access or Limited Access), we can only access the items Apple allows.

What we may access:

• Photo/video identifiers (asset IDs)
• Basic media metadata (file size, creation date, type)
• Thumbnails or reduced-size previews (for scanning/grouping)

What we do not do:

• We do not upload your photos/videos to our servers for cleaning features (unless explicitly stated in a future feature and you opt in).
• We do not share your photos/videos with third parties for advertising.

B. Purchase and Subscription Information

If you purchase SnapCleaner Premium, Apple processes the transaction. We receive entitlement status (e.g., whether Premium is active) and may store it locally on your device to unlock features. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

C. App Data Stored on Your Device

The App may store limited data locally, such as:

• Your preferences (e.g., haptics, auto-selection settings)
• Last scan summary (counts and estimated sizes)
• Premium entitlement status (cached locally)

D. Diagnostics (Optional)

If the App crashes, Apple may provide crash reports to developers through Apple’s services (e.g., App Store Connect). These reports are managed by Apple and may include device information needed to diagnose issues.

3) How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide cleaning features (scan, group duplicates/similar items, detect screenshots, list large videos)
• Enable deletion actions you confirm
• Show scan results and storage estimates
• Maintain Premium access and restore purchases
• Improve reliability and fix bugs

4) How We Share Information

We may share information only in the following limited cases:

• Apple: Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. Entitlement verification occurs through Apple services.
• Legal: If required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.

We do not sell your personal information.

5) Permissions

SnapCleaner uses iOS permissions to function:

• Photos: Needed to scan your library and delete items you select.

You can change permissions anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos. If you choose “Limited Photos Access”, SnapCleaner can only scan the selected items Apple allows.

6) Data Retention

SnapCleaner aims to minimize data retention:

• Scan results and preferences may be stored locally on your device for convenience.
• If you uninstall the App, locally stored data is generally removed by iOS.

7) Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information. However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. We recommend keeping your iOS device protected with a passcode and updated software.

8) Children’s Privacy

SnapCleaner is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us to request deletion.

9) Your Rights and Choices

• Access control: You can grant, limit, or revoke Photos permission in iOS Settings.
• Deletion control: Photos/videos are only deleted when you confirm.
• Subscriptions: Manage or cancel in App Store → Account → Subscriptions.

10) International Users

The App may be used globally. If you use SnapCleaner outside your home country, your information will be handled as described in this policy and in accordance with applicable laws.

11) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide notice in the App.
