Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 11 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Civil Toolkit handles information when you use the application.

Civil Toolkit is designed to be privacy-friendly. The app does not require an account, does not display advertisements, and does not use third-party analytics or behavioral tracking.

1. Information We Collect

Civil Toolkit does not collect personal information on servers operated by us.

The app does not require you to provide your name, email address, phone number, or other account information.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

Information you create in Civil Toolkit is stored locally on your device. This may include:

We do not have access to this locally stored information.

3. iCloud Synchronization

Civil Toolkit Pro may offer optional synchronization through Apple iCloud.

If you enable iCloud synchronization, supported app data may be stored and synchronized through your personal Apple iCloud account. This may include projects, saved calculations, favorites, settings, and related records.

We do not operate Apple iCloud and do not have direct access to the contents of your iCloud account. Apple processes and stores iCloud data according to its own privacy policies and service terms.

You can disable iCloud synchronization from the app settings where available or through your device's iCloud settings.

4. In-App Purchases

Civil Toolkit may offer a one-time lifetime purchase that unlocks Pro features.

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or full financial information.

The app may use RevenueCat to verify purchase status and determine whether Pro features are unlocked. RevenueCat may process limited purchase-related information, such as:

RevenueCat does not process your App Store payment card details on our behalf.

5. PDF and CSV Exports

Civil Toolkit may allow you to generate and export PDF or CSV files containing your projects, calculations, assumptions, notes, and results.

These files are generated on your device. You decide where they are saved or with whom they are shared.

Once you export or share a file through another app, cloud provider, messaging service, email provider, or storage service, that third party's privacy practices will apply.

6. Home Screen Widgets

Civil Toolkit Pro may provide iOS Home Screen widgets.

To display widget content, limited app data may be stored in a shared App Group container on your device. This may include:

This data remains on your device unless it is separately synchronized through iCloud.

7. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

Civil Toolkit does not use:

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

8. Permissions

Depending on the features you use, Civil Toolkit may request access to certain device capabilities.

These may include:

The app only requests permissions that are needed for the feature you choose to use.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Your locally stored data remains on your device until you delete it from within the app or remove the app from your device.

You can delete individual projects, calculations, history entries, and saved data from within Civil Toolkit.

Removing the app generally removes locally stored app data, subject to Apple's device backup and restoration behavior.

If iCloud synchronization is enabled, synchronized data may remain in your iCloud account after the app is removed from one device. You may need to manage or delete that data through Apple iCloud settings or by using deletion controls provided in the app.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect information handled by the app. However, no device, storage system, transmission method, or cloud service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for protecting access to your device, Apple ID, device backups, exported files, and shared reports.

11. Engineering and Project Information

Civil Toolkit may store engineering calculations, quantities, project names, locations, notes, assumptions, and other project-related information that you enter.

Avoid entering confidential client, site, commercial, contractual, or personally identifiable information unless you are authorized to store that information on your device or iCloud account.

12. Children's Privacy

Civil Toolkit is intended as a professional and educational engineering utility. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. Third-Party Services

Civil Toolkit may rely on third-party services for limited functions, including:

These third parties process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

14. International Use

Third-party services such as Apple and RevenueCat may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Their own privacy policies govern their data-processing locations and safeguards.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the app, legal requirements, or third-party services.

When this policy is updated, the revised version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
